Jesus Walks to Emmaus

Luke 24:13–27

That day, two disciples traveled from Jerusalem to Emmaus. They talked together about the things that had happened. A man began walking with them. They didn’t recognize Jesus. “What are you talking about?” Jesus asked them.

“Haven’t you heard about Jesus? He was a mighty prophet who was just crucified. But angels told some women he’s now alive. Then his tomb was found empty.”

“Don’t you know that this had to happen to Christ?” Jesus explained the writings of Moses and the prophets to them. He showed them what the Scriptures said about Christ.
