“This Wicked Haman!”

Esther 6:12–7:6

Your downfall has begun,” Zeresh warned Haman. “If Mordecai is of the Jewish people, for sure you’ll fall.”

Soon the king and Haman went to Esther’s banquet. “I’ll give you anything,” said the king. “I’ll even give you half my kingdom.”

“Let my life be spared,” Esther answered. “And don’t wipe out my people. We’ve been sold to be destroyed. No price can pay for this damage to your empire.”

King Ahasuerus said to Queen Esther: “Who is he? Where is he that has imagined to do this?”

“A foe and enemy,” Esther declared. “This wicked Haman!”
