The Dazzling Face of Moses

Exodus 34:5–35:1

For the second time, Moses spent forty days with God. The Lord wrote his laws on the new tablets and talked with Moses.

Moses brought the tablets down the mountain. He didn’t know that his face shone with God’s light. His face was so dazzling that the people couldn’t look at him.

Moses spoke to Israel about God’s laws. He had to cover his face with a veil. The light hurt the eyes of the people when they saw him.
