“Tabitha Is Alive!”

Acts 9:36–43

Peter went here and there among all the believers. In Joppa was a disciple named Tabitha. She was faithful to do good works and help others. But she grew sick and died. Two men were sent to Peter. “Please come with us quickly,” they asked.

At Tabitha’s house, the widows were weeping. Peter sent them out, knelt down, and prayed. Then he said, “Tabitha, get up.” She opened her eyes and sat up. The news went out: “Tabitha is alive!” Many believed in the Lord.

Peter stayed in Joppa for some time in Simon the tanner’s house.
